A Bus Ride

Just another day on the bus with seven armed members of the Indonesian Polisi. With assault rifles strapped around their shoulders and pistols secured to their hips and thighs, they sat in the four rows directly in front of me and three rows across from me. I was interested in finding out where they were going, but not interested enough to follow them to their destination.

This is a clandestine photo of the three polisi who were sitting across from me.

This is a clandestine photo that I took of the three polisi who sat across from me. Generally, the polisi and military are happy to pose for pictures, but I still haven’t found the courage to ask them. As soon as I do, I will snap some better pictures and post them.

Hello Kriste, Chris, Ally and Kylee:

Well how are things going for you and your family. We certainly hope that all things are in order aand your hubby and your daughters are doing well.

It is getting warmer in Lethbridge and Spring is just a week away, on March 21, 2014. Hopefully there is will be a continuation of warm weather. This has been a tough Winter, a similar one that I have never experienced before. It supposed to rain in Lethbridge tonight and a little bit of snow over night.

What a blessing it it for both of us to live today, warm weather.

We love you so much and we miss you so much. We just can’t wait for you to get back to the U.S.A. so that our missing you four will be in the past. Mom and I want you to know that you are in our prayers every day.

WE really apprciated your telephone call the other day. Sounds like you four are all doing weill.
Keep up the good work and enjoy your new home.

    With Love,

    Mom and Dad
