I’m disappointed to announce that this is my final post. In an effort to quell anti-government sentiment, a block on social media was recently imposed. The strictly enforced ban includes, but is not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and non-government/non-business related blogs.
Within 72-hours, 7693 Miles from Home will no longer be a functioning site. Regrettably, it will be removed and permanently deleted from the web. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating this blog and sharing it with you, but I must sign-off.

Dear Kriste, Chris, Ally and Kylee:
Well Kriste, it was so pleasant talking with you this afternoon.
We clicked on your response to this “My Final Post” and it came up as “April Fools Day”. These blogs of your’s are so wonderful. We would be so disappointed if they did not or could not continue.
When you stravel to Viet Nam, don’t forget to get me some Viet Nam coins. We just love the coins you have sent me so far. If you go to any other strange countries, get their coins for me.
When you get back to the U.S.A., I will reimburse you for your costs and your postage costs to
Alberta.
We just love the Rose family so much and we miss the four of you so much.
